Short White Dresses

I couldn't sleep so I looked for short white dresses to pair with the gold Adidas ballet flats.  Three dresses caught my eye.

First one is Angel Eye Womens Lace Pure White Dress.

It looks so pretty and soft.  It reminds me of the dress in the Casper movie (although it's shorter).

How it looks from the side. The lace is beautiful.

Second is Karen Millen Tailored White Dress.
Looks very svelte. The skirt doesn't flare out, instead it creates a semi - A-line effect.

I really like the zipper at the back.  The overall effect of the dress is neat and stunning.

Last is a white dress from the Phillip Lim Pre-Fall 2011 collection.

Unique design and longer skirt.  I have to say that this is my favorite from the three.  I think it would be the best dress to wear with the gold Adidas ballet flats.  Subtly reminiscent of Greek dresses since it looks to have a wrap-around finish at the bottom.  Perfect for pulling off the Hermes (fleet-footed messenger of the gods) look.  Plus, the cap sleeves remind me of translucent wings.

ADIDAS winged ballet flats by Jeremy Scott

I wonder when this will be available in the Philippines.  Or if it will ever be available here.  They look so pretty.  I can imagine wearing them with a skirt and pretending to be Hermes.

It would be great for cosplay.

Feast of the Santo Nino - Cebu City

Yesterday was the first day for the novena of the Feast of the Santo Nino.  The Mass started at 5:30 am.  It rained then.  There were no breaks between the Masses, it was continuous from start to finish.

I believe that the schedule for the Masses will be the same until the culmination of the Novena on January 14 where there will be the fluval procession.

Today is the second day of the Novena.  It's a Friday so there are lots of people.  Osmena Boulevard near Santo Nino is blocked.  No jeepneys can pass.

New character in The Vampire Diaries

I was checking on some news about The Vampire Diaries since it's Thursday.  I came upon an article by wetpaint.com (The Vampire Diaries Brings Paul Newman's Grandson to Mystic Falls) about actor Daniel Newman who will be joining the cast in next year's episode, "Our Town".

Based on his IMDB profile, I found out that he is an actor, a model, and a singer.  His band is called The Vanderbilts.

His previous work includes Heroes as Jimmy Keppler, the suspect who was interrogated by Matt Parkman with the help of Sylar.  I mentioned this since I will be rewatching Heroes Season 4 just to get a feel of his acting. ;)

Anyway, back to the topic.  Below the article I was reading was a link to another article about The Vampire Diaries and it read:

I couldn't help but relate the two articles to each other.  What if Daniel Newman will play another Original Sibling? What if? ;)

Klaus and Elena in The Vampire Diaries

Tonight (USA date: November 10, 2011) will be the mid-season finale for The Vampire Diaries.  Meanwhile, it will be shown here, in the Philippines, next week (next Tuesday to be exact).

I am anticipating the unavoidable showdown between Klaus and Mikael aka "Papa Original".

But I have a feeling that Klaus will be the Homecoming King in tonight's episode.  He gets to dance with Elena just to spite Damon, Stefan, and Elena.  That's what I think will happen before the inevitable showdown and/or family feud (Klaus vs. Rebekah, Klaus vs. Mikael, Klaus vs. Rebekah and Mikael).

I think this would be the cause of Elena's dreadful expression in this scene.

hahaha...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching The Vampire Diaries 3x09 "Homecoming".
